 The Modern Maker strives to make sure that all purchases and services are to the highest of our standards. We understand that sometimes purchases do not always go as planned, and offer a comprehensive return policy for all of our customers.

How We Ship Your Goods

Our goods are shipped through the United States Postal Service, Stamps.com and FedEx.

For bespoke services, arrival of your product may vary and timelines will be discussed during your consultation. When you purchase physical goods, please allow up to 3-5 business days to have your order shipped. For digital goods please allow 12-24 hours for delivery.

Purchasing Product

The purchases of products are considered all sales final unless a customer has purchased a physical product and the product is damaged upon arrival.

If your product arrives damaged please let us know immediately. Return requests are accepted within 30 days of receiving the order. We can check your order against our shipping records and then coordinate to have the damaged product returned and replaced with a new version of the product or with a product of equal value.

If your costume has arrived damaged and in need of return for repairs, after the return request is authorized The Modern Maker can reimburse you for shipping expenses.

For books that are purchased through third-party companies such as Amazon, you will need to contact that company’s customer service department for your refund. For books purchased directly from The Modern Maker, please send us a return request and we can coordinate with you on refunds and returns.

Digital products are considered all sales final, but if the digital version of your product does not work as intended we can send you an updated version of your purchased file.

Please note: All returns and exchanges must be authorized. Unauthorized returns or exchanges will not be accepted.

When you return a product, please allow us up to 25 business days to process your return. In the case of any goods being damaged during shipment, please be sure to keep all packing materials in case we need to follow up with the carrier service.

Bespoke Services and our Guarantee

Due to the nature of work regarding bespoke services, we cannot offer refunds for our tailoring services. That said, we guarantee complete satisfaction when it comes to your desired outfit.

Bespoke outfits valued at $4,000.00 USD and more come with a lifetime guarantee, that means that if your outfit is in need of alterations or repairs, we’ve got you covered. Bespoke outfits valued at less than $4,000.00 USD have a limited 1-year warranty; minor repairs and alterations are handled on a case-by-case basis.

Garments in need of extensive tailoring can be done in the shop with a $65.00 USD/hour labor charge. Extensive tailoring services come with a free 30 minute Skype session for fitting purposes.
