I am honored to have been invited to present a paper at the 50th annual Congress on Medieval Studies.
I will be presenting a paper entitled: The Manipulated Plane: Modern tailoring techniques in 17th century menswear.
This paper is a brief summation of my study and observations of historical clothing and the manner in which tailor stretched and shrunk various parts of the cloth to sculpt and form the flat fabric into a dynamic 3-Dimensional shape which flows and conforms to the curves of the human body.
I will also be displaying several pieces of my work related to the paper.
I HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!
Sign up and go listen to the amazing lectures and papers!
