Late 16th/Early 17th century top coat. Size Large

This top coat is made with HEAVY fulled wool twill exterior, The interior structure is made with Linen and wool. The lining is 100% Alpaca Shag. the closures of the front are hand-woven silk, The cording which runs around the entire perimeter is hand twisted silk. The applied bands of trim are silk as well. This garment is 80% hand stitched with very little of the work executed with a sewing machine. No machine stitching is visible anywhere on the garment. There are photographs of some of the interior stitching. CAVEAT: The buyer of this coat should understand that they are purchasing a work of fine craftsmanship and may be asked, in the future, to loan or rent the garment for exhibition. Agreement Paperwork must be signed before the garment is shipped.
