This Modern Maker workshop will focus on the cut and construction of a basic doublet from around year 1610. In this class, students will learn briefly about the Bara System of measure and watch a demonstration of drafting a garment directly to the cloth. When this is complete, we will be stitching our doublet samples. Each student will receive a kit with all the materials to make the sample -- A half-body of a doublet (no sleeves). Saturday's class will focus on a man's doublet, and Sunday's class will focus on a woman's style. Yes...the manipulations are different!
